“I occasionally eat out at the Sydney Madang Korean BBQ. It’s a magnet for diehard Korean BBQ lovers like me. The very first dish I tried was an octopus BBQ: quite adventurous, yummy but expensive. It’s a good place to stroll and window shop in the tiny Miniso and Daiso (Japanese stores) near the Chinese karaoke, where I tried and failed to sing K-pop songs. I like how queer culture is also mixed in and it’s evident in the posters stuck around, like celebrating Mardi Gras all over again”
